A combination of factors can cause facial lines and wrinkles. One major culprit is the repeated motions your face makes over time. Your facial muscles contract and relax every single time you frown, squint, laugh, smile, or raise your brows. Over the years, this leads to wrinkle lines on your forehead, around your eyes, and around your mouth. Wrinkles formed by motion are referred to as "dynamic wrinkles", and they are the type that is best treated by a neurotoxin such as Botox or Dysport.
Another type of wrinkles called "static wrinkles" are harder to treat. These wrinkles are formed as you sleep or simply by the pull of gravity over time. These wrinkles are set deeper into your skin than dynamic wrinkles and don't respond as well to neurotoxins. However, new evidence suggests that neurotoxins can be used to prevent these wrinkles from forming or from becoming severe. For treating these lines, other tools in our medical arsenal will be a part of your treatment plan. Dermal filler products such as Juvederm or Restylane may be able to help lift, smooth and plump those lines away.
Another treatment option for wrinkes is to inject PRP directly into the skin. When PRP is injected into the skin, it can stimulate new collagen growth, improve the texture and tone of your skin, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Collagen is the most importance factor needed for maintaining that youthful and healthy skin appearance.
If varicose and spider veins are an issue, then Sclerotherapy may be an option for you. Sclerotherapy is a nonsurgical treatment for improving the appearance of varicose and spider veins on the legs.
